On March 31st 2017, Europower signed a contract for “Progetto di Miglioria Sicurezza e Operabilità Oleodotto” (Oil Pipeline Security and Operations Improvement) with IES ITALIANA ENERGIA E SERVIZI S.p.A. (Parent company of MOL Group Italy at the head of the 4 companies).

The project includes the implementation of an innovative solution for real-time detection of leaks on the whole 123 km of length of the pipeline, which passes through 11 municipalities and links the Marghera Harbor (Venice) with the IES storage facility in Mantua.

The project includes engineering and construction (civil, mechanic, electric and automation works), as well as the implementation of a wired – satellite redundant telemetry network, for the conversion of 10 underground safety inspection stations to completely automated monitoring and remote/local flow control.

The works are in progress and will be finished during the year, with final certificate emission in Q1 2018.
