Projet description:
The activities of design, supply, erection, commissioning and testing are relevant to:

  • Gas detection system completion
  • New fire detection system with heat sensitive cable
  • New foam extinguishing system
  • Supply of the new DCS and upgrading of the existing one
  • Execution of civil works for walls and fences of the common trench
  • Existing control room new arrangement and enlargement

Project peculiarity

Scope of the contract is the final execution of the active safety system for the common trench of the Naples Consortium Pipeline, including the achievement of all required permits from the authorities. The Consortium Pipeline is composed of a main trench extending from the Kuwait Petroleum Italia oil coastal depot up to uploading facilities of Naples harbour.

Connecting branches between the main trench and the single coastal depots. The common trench has been divided into areas and each area is composed of:

  • A dedicated extinguishing system
  • A set of gas detectors
  • A set of fire detectors
