Project description:
Steam generating plant repowering with 56 MWe gas turbine, consisting of:
- 1 Alstom GT8C2 gas turbine (56 MWe)
- Feedwater heating of existing conventional steam cycle by gas turbine flue gas heat recovery system (feedwater repowering)
- New high pressure natural gas pipeline inside the Petrochemical Complex and reducing and metering station for gas turbine and existing boilers

Project peculiarity:
Petkim repowering project is included into the project of modernization and natural gas conversion of steam generating plant, (n°4 x 350 tonn/h existing boilers) executed by Ansaldo Caldaie S.p.A for Petkim Petrokimya Holding A.S.
The feedwater repowering system is a costeffective way to increase overall installed electrical capacity, and, at the same time, the efficiency of existing plant.
It is a “tailor made” solution studied to fit the existing plant configuration and the Customer needs.
Repowering system is designed and engineered by EUROPOWER S.p.A.
The plant is designed to comply with strict environmental codes.
